Vicky M. Canady, 68, of Murray, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 at her home.

Vicky was born on November 20, 1957 in Bowling Green, KY to the late Meredith and Iona Payne. She was a member of Hope Harbor Church.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose faith, kindness, and love for her family were at the center of her life. She cherished her family above all else and found joy in the simple pleasures that made life special.

Her faith guided her, and she loved God deeply. She was a woman who appreciated the beauty of God's creation, especially flowers and plants. She enjoyed gardening and took pleasure in watching things grow and bloom. Additionally, she had a love for the ocean and the beach, and she enjoyed traveling and shopping. She also had a special fondness for animals and was known to love her cheetah print. Music brought her happiness, and she enjoyed singing and listening to some of her favorite artists, including Elvis Presley and Loretta Lynn. She also enjoyed collecting angels.

Vicky was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Canady; her parents, Meredith and Iona Payne; her brothers, Tessie Payne and Randy Payne; and her sister, Connie Payne.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Emily Canady; her son, Shane Canady; her brother, Billy Payne; and her stepsons, Andrew Canady, Jason Canady, and Christopher Canady. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were a special part of her life.

A celebration of life will be held at Hope Harbor church and will be announced.
