Terry Wayne Mott, devoted pastor, veteran and faithful family man, passed away on October 17, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 74.
Born on August 4, 1950, Terry spent his life serving others. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and later as 1st Sergeant in the National Guard.
After retiring from General Tire, Terry dedicated himself to ministry, touching countless lives as a beloved pastor. His unwavering commitment to faith, family and community inspired many.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Deedra O'Bryan Mott and three brothers-in-law, to whom he is close.
He's also survived by his children; Debbie Mott Baker (husband Jimmy) and Michael Mott (wife Sabrina); grandchildren; Ashton Casper (husband Brett), Daniel Modglin, Haley Emich, (husband Jeff), Lauren Dukes (wife Kristin) and Abby Mott; three great- grandchildren; brothers Ken Mott, Gary Mott and Kevin Mott; and cherished family members.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, his first wife, Rebecca Mott, his mother, Mary Frances Mott Willoughby, and his father, Charles Kenneth Mott.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4th Street, Murray, KY 42071. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Murray City Cemetery following the ceremony.
His family welcomes visitors from 12 pm - 1:30 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post 6291, PO Box 827, Murray, KY 42071.

Following the graveside ceremony, the family invites friends and loved ones to a gathering at their home, where food and refreshments will be served.
