Joseph Garland, 92, of Murray passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Murray Calloway County Hospital. He was born on November 19, 1921 in Calloway County. He was a WWII Veteran, and worked for Goodyear Aerospace for 32 years. Joseph attended Trinity Christian Center, where he was an usher. He bought, fixed up, and sold cars as a hobby from the time he was 16 years old until he was 89. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Effie Garland and three brothers, Albert, Olan, and Alton Garland. He is survived by his wife, Donna Garland of Murray; a daughter, Judy Francill of Mansfield, Ohio; and several nephews and nieces. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Imes-Miller Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery.
