Mr. James Wilburn, 81, of Murray passed away Saturday, December 07, 2019 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Mr. Wilburn was born on November 19, 1938 in Branch, Arkansas to the late Harmon Wilburn and Mildred (Blevins) McDonald. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and a member of Lions Club. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, devoted over 33 years with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, Ventura, CA, and was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Sue Heilman; a brother, Carl Wayne Wilburn and a grandchild, Robin Casey. Those surviving include his loving wife, Rowina Lee Wilburn of Murray; a son, James Brian Wilburn (Patricia) of Rowlett, Texas; a daughter, Cindy Dollarhide (Doug) of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Larry Jeff Wilburn of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Donald Wilburn of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Patricia Brancati of Prescott, Arizona, Sharon Adamson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Caroline Woodward of Porterville, California, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Klingner-Cope Funeral Home, 4500 South Lone Pine Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804. Burial will follow in Springfield. His family will receive visitors from 10 AM - 11 AM at the funeral home in Springfield, Missouri. A memorial service for Mr. Wilburn will be held in Murray on Sunday, December 29, 2019, 3:00PM at Westside Baptist Church.
