Mr. Buster Skinner, 87, of Murray died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care and Rehab. Mr. Skinner was born May 19, 1928 in Murray, KY. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church and was an avid Murray State Sports fan. Mr. Skinner had also served as a Human Rights Commissioner in Murray, KY. He was preceded in death by his Father, Buster Skinner Sr.; his Mother, Canary Blanton Skinner; his wife, Barbara Nell Hodges; along with eight sisters, Laurine Patty, Ethel Skinner, Abelene Skinner, Martha Scott, Patricia Johnson, Robbie Nell Brandon, Ruth Williams, and Mary Jane Skinner. He was also preceded in death by three brothers; Earnest Skinner, L .D. Skinner and Robert Skinner. Mr. Skinner is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mattie Ann Skinner of New Haven, Connecticut along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home on Hwy 121 North Bypass. Burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery.
