Mrs. Anita R. Mansfield, 83, of Murray, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. Mrs. Mansfield was born on July 29, 1937 in Murray, KY to the late Pat and Flora Johnson Rowland. She retired from Murray State University and was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, those preceding her in death include her husband, Paul Ray Mansfield and a sister, Patsy Dyer. Left to cherish many wonderful memories include a son, Greg Mansfield of Murray; a daughter, Dana Proffitt, husband David, of Nashville, TN; a brother Joel (Joe) Rowland, wife Brenda, of Murray; four grandchildren, Justin Mansfield of Mayfield, Dacia Monroe, husband John, of Murray, Allyn Hodgins, husband Payton, of Richmond, VA, Bradley Proffitt of San Jose, CA as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Anita Mansfield is set for 11 AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Boyd Smith will officiate and burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery. Pallbearers include Payton Hodgins, John Monroe, Pat Rowland, Craig Pitcock, Brad Proffitt and honorary pallbearer is Justin Mansfield.
