Mr. Bobby Mitchell, 87, of Kirksey, KY passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Baptist Health Care in Paducah. Bobby was born November 16, 1929, in Calloway County. He was the son of the late Monroe and Gladys Blalock Mitchell. He was a farmer and worked at Tappan Manufacturing for 27 years. He received the Master Conservationist award in 1990. Bobby was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Betty Cunningham Mitchell; a son, Roger Mitchell; two brothers, Billy and Tommy Mitchell and a sister, June Cunningham. Survivors include a son, Brian Mitchell (Dawn) of Lisle, IL; three daughters, Debra Williams (Paul) of Ashland City, TN, Sherry Fisher (Dennis) of Murray and Mylinda Brown (Tim) of Bowling Green, KY; a brother, Darrell Mitchell (Peggy) of New Concord, KY; a brother in law, Guy Cunningham; 11 grandchildren, Shay Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Shaun Mitchell, Grey Williams, Ryan Williams, Bethany Brown, Casey Keller, Barrett Fisher, Travis Brown, Tyler Brown, Samantha Mitchell along with 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 11 AM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray with John Bedwell, Martin Severns and Tim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bobby's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray.
